The mission of the Durham County Department of Public Health is to preserve, protect and enhance the general health and environment of the community. The Durham County Department of Public Health (DCoHD or Health Dept.) provides health clinics (child, women's health, youth, adult, seniors, dental, communicable diseases, nutrition and STI/STD-HIV testing) as well as lab services and a pharmacy for residents of Durham County utilizing the health department. They are responsible for Environmental health in Durham (restaurants, pools) , and maintain health records. The Health Dept. provides Health Education webinars and trainings
