The Durham-Chapel Hill ReStore is a long-time landmark on 15-501. Profits from this ReStore serve Durham and Orange County Habitat for Humanity affiliates. All Habitat for Humanity ReStores are open to the public and sell furniture, appliances, building materials, and other household items. Each ReStore also accepts donations at the back dock. Items are marked down every two weeks, so there's always a bargain to be had. Here are the types of products carried: home decor, hardware, building materials, appliances, windows, plumbing, lumber and trim, light fixtures and lamps, flooring, doors, cabinets (new and used), and of course, furniture.
