The Mill Houses 151 affordable apartments for elderly, disabled and handicapped persons. Residents must qualify under Section 8 income guidelines. Community amenities include laundry facilities, game room, beauty/barber shop, exercise, arts and crafts classes, a well- stocked library and 24-hour emergency maintenance. Durham Hosiery Mill Apartments provides a rent subsidy program that allows very low- income families, elderly or disabled individuals to live in privately owned houses or apartments.
