Project BUILD

Project BUILD provides gang involved youth and former gang members with wrap-around services that include comprehensive case management, skills building, behavioral coaching, educational advocacy, and employment assistance. Participants are paired with a paraprofessional staff member who meets with youth 2-3 times per week to provide behavior modification and connect the youth to necessary services such as housing, healthcare, and mental health services. Additional services include summer day camp for participants ages 13-16 for 7 weeks each summer, access to Durham Work Opportunity and Readiness for Career (DWORC) employment readiness class, youth clothing closet, and weekly skills-building.
