Dementia Alliance of N.C. programs are built around a foundation of CARE – providing Comfort, Assistance, Resources and Education for individuals and families living with Dementia. Dementia Alliance of North Carolina provides information and referrals through a 24-hour, toll free helpline (1-800-228-8738). They offer individualized information packets on dementia and care-related problems on request; help caregivers develop coping strategies and ability to make important decisions with consultations, family counseling, support group meetings, workshops, and educational materials; has a library of materials on all types of Dementia and related disorders, and provide a quarterly newsletter. Their primary goal is to improve the lives of caregivers, people living with dementia and others in North Carolina impacted by all types of dementia, including but not limited to Alzheimer’s.
