WEBINAR: Suicide Prevention: Talking Saves Lives

Network of Care for Mental Health

10:00am

Categories:

Find out what we can do to help those individuals who are thinking about suicide. Suicide is a serious public health problem that affects people of all ages. Learn the signs and symptoms, talking about it and the resources available.

Each year, more than 41,000 individuals die by suicide, leaving behind their friends and family members to navigate the tragedy of loss. In many cases, friends and families affected by a suicide loss (often called ?suicide loss survivors?) are left in the dark. Too often the feelings of shame and stigma prevent them from talking openly. September is Suicide Prevention Month, a time to shed light on this highly stigmatized and taboo topic. Remember, talking saves lives.
